THE Personal Data Protection Commission has censured several organisations for breaching the requirements of the Do-Not-Call (DNC) Registry, said the Infocomm Development Authority (IDA) of Singapore yesterday.
Since the registry went live on Jan 2, the commission has received 1,500 valid complaints involving 580 organisations, from those who have registered their phone numbers so that they will not be bothered by marketing calls or text messages.
