OLDENDORFF Carriers (Singapore), which has been in the bulk carrier business since 1921, has seen its operations here grow from 19 employees to more than 130 over the last eight years. The Singapore office was the 13th in the German group's global network, and was set up as its Asian hub.
Besides managing its own fleet, the group offers ship management services to third parties as well as consultancy services for newbuilding or conversion projects, both in the design and contracting phase as well as in the supervision period.
It handles around 300 million tons of bulk and unitised cargo annually and calls at some 14,000 ports in 125 countries. On average, it operates around 500 vessels, both its own fleet and chartered ships, at any one time.
