Halting slide in retail satisfaction
The industry scored better in the latest Customer Satisfaction Index of Singapore amid the manpower crunch and rising costs.
STILL battling the challenges of a manpower crunch, online competition and rising rents, retailers here may at least take comfort in the fact that last year's slide in their customers' satisfaction levels appears to have been arrested.
The latest Customer Satisfaction Index of Singapore (CSISG) for the retail sector even rose a slight 0.4 point to a score of 70 points, out of 100.
This was based on 9,000 face-to- face interviews with Singapore residents and tourists carried out over the first quarter of the year, on which the Institute of Service Excellence at Singapore Management University (ISES) also scored the info-communications sector.
