Latest President watch more energy efficient
Made for people at the top of their professions, Rolex's Day-Date watches come only in platinum or gold.
THE timepieces in Rolex's Day-Date line are also known as "the Presidents' watch". It's a handy reference, an extension of the name of the wrist-band - the President bracelet - created exclusively for the watch. But to the owners and the salesmen who sold them the timepiece, President sounds grander and is associated with many of the notable people who have worn it: heads of state and leaders in the world of sports, the arts, music and business.
Indeed, the Day-Date was referred to as the presidents' watch after it was seen on the wrist of US president Dwight D Eisenhower.
Marilyn Monroe also famously presented John Kennedy a gold Day-Date watch in 1962 on the US president's 45th birthday.
