Making the most of horse racing
Longines refreshes a popular women's line and celebrates equestrian sports with new models.
LONGINES has been part of the horse-racing world for over a century. So it's no surprise that the 183-year-old Swiss watch brand launched its updated DolceVita collection in June on the eve of a major horse race in France - the Prix de Diane Longines flat horse race in Chantilly, a town north of Paris.
Longines has been the race's sponsor and official timekeeper since 2011.
The launch of the new ladies' collection took place at an evening garden party on an open field overlooking the famous Chantilly castle, the Chateau de Chantilly. And it was graced by Indian actress and former Miss World Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. She's been the Longines Ambassador of Elegance for the last 151/2 years - and the face of the DolceVita for many years.
