No postponement of Feb 2 polls, says Yingluck
Protesters still set on going all out to scuttle election

[SINGAPORE] Thailand will go to the polls on Feb 2 as planned, caretaker Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra said yesterday.
The beleaguered leader, who is facing her worst crisis since taking office in 2011, made the announcement after a meeting with members of her Cabinet, registered candidates and a top election official.
She had called for the meeting on Monday - the day when anti-government protesters began their round-the-clock occupation of Bangkok - to discuss the Election Commission's (EC) earlier proposal to delay the snap election.
