[SINGAPORE] The various recommendations put forth by the Committee to Strengthen National Service (CSNS) last week, if accepted, will cost $4.5 billion over the next 10 years to implement.
Defence Minister Ng Eng Hen revealed this yesterday during the debate on President Tony Tan Keng Yam's recent address at the reopening of Parliament.
Dr Ng, who is also chairman of the committee, said last week that he wanted to see the proposals accepted by the government and then implemented as early as possible.
