Passenger car COEs flat

[SINGAPORE] Premiums for passenger car certificates of entitlement (COEs) were flat in yesterday's bidding exercise, with relatively small changes up and down the price spectrum.

The cost of a Category A COE - for cars below 1,600cc and 130hp - slipped S$869 to S$64,841 while Cat B - for cars above 1,600cc or 130hp - inched up S$20 to S$73,010. Cat E - the open category which currently tracks Cat B - climbed S$1,593 to S$74,403

Meanwhile, Cat C - for goods vehicles - fell S$2,489 to S$49,901 while Cat D - for motorcycles - was S$99 higher at S$4,453.
