As demand for precast construction components continues to grow due to rising construction costs, labour shortage and environmental concerns, homegrown Excel Precast Pte Ltd has seen its business grow steadily over the past 15 years.

The company won its first Enterprise 50 award in 2011. Two years later it won the E50 award again and was placed eighth in the list. The awards were accepted by its Chief Executive Officer, Mr Tan Ban Tiong.

Excel Precast is a dynamic and reliable partner in the rapidly growing precast concrete industry and is committed to providing value-added buildable construction solutions through creative design and innovative, efficient production processes as one of the leaders in the precast industry.

Set up in 1999, Excel Precast operates three plants in Singapore and Malaysia, using state-of-the-art technology, production techniques and management systems. As one of the largest precast manufacturers in Singapore, the company produces a diverse range of customised pre-stressed and precast products, taking pride in its ability to exceed the expectations of customers and finding solutions that meet their requirements.

Excel Precast has a diverse customer base that includes the Housing and Development Board, private residential, commercial, institutions, military and civil engineering projects. Its precast factory in Tampines is located on a 3-hectare plot of land with six production lines which are fully equipped with gantry and crawler cranes. A computerised concrete batching plant, certified to the latest standards in the factory, ensures concrete quality in its products.

A major milestone in the company's growth was the setting up in 2009 of another precast factory on about 4 ha of land in Senai, Johor, Malaysia, to enhance the production capacity of its precast products.

The company's business objective is to supply precast concrete components for use in the construction industry. It provides a wide range of precast concrete products ranging from standard HDB components to customer-specific precast solutions. Its experienced design and technical team, backed by state-of-the-art equipment, is able to meet any challenge or design issue.

Excel Precast also provides technical assistance to clients in the development of precast construction methods for their design-and-build projects. To assist clients in driving higher productivity and better quality for their projects, the company also provides alternative proposals to convert projects originally designed for on-site construction into the precast method of construction.
