Q&A with Michael Zink

MICHAEL ZINK, Citi Singapore country officer and Asean head, answered a number of questions from students at a dialogue session at the National University of Singapore. Here is an edited transcript of his answers.

Q: What investing mistakes have you made?

A: I made lots of mistakes. When you start working in banking, you think you're so smart and have lots of insights. When I was younger, I was recklessly aggressive in the way I invested.
