Riot in Little India; vehicles burnt

[SINGAPORE] Rioting broke out along Race Course Road in Little India last night and the mob was believed to be made up of foreign workers.

Police confirmed a riot had occurred at the junction of Race Course Road and Hampshire Road at 9.23pm. Police officers are at scene and are in control of the situation.

Trouble is believed to have started when a group of people attacked an ambulance and a patrol car responding to an accident in the vicinity. An Indian worker was said to have been hit by a bus.
