The safe city concept
A SAFE city can be defined as a city that enhances public security by deploying networked security sensors and systems across several stakeholders to optimise the necessary response from detection to action. The safe city concept includes five interconnected ideas:
1. Integrated systems: Integration of security systems across various agencies including law enforcement, first responders, businesses, and citizens in a city to reduce response times to security and safety incidents.
2. Multi-agency collaboration: Greater collaboration among government agencies, including sharing of data and processes.
