A budding entrepreneur from the age of 12, Mr Neo is a self-taught and self-made businessman who dabbled in various businesses from selling otah during his school days to the sale and repair of second-hand electronic goods after completing his National Service before eventually building a business around food catering.

In 1992, with only eight employees, he established Neo Garden Catering in a shared kitchen in Joo Chiat. Although the food catering industry then was in its infancy, Mr Neo, with his acute business acumen, saw the immense business potential for delivering prepared food to families and organisations.
