[SINGAPORE] Singapore Airlines (SIA) is investing about $100 million - up from the $20 million initially earmarked - over the next five years to revamp its SilverKris lounges in 15 cities, including one in Changi Airport's Terminal 3.

This comes as the airline completes renovations at its existing lounge in Sydney, the first to incorporate its new design concept aimed at delivering the comforts of home.

In August last year, the carrier said that it would spend more than $20 million to improve its SilverKris lounges but the bigger budget will now allow it to bring forward renovation plans for selected lounges as well as carry out expanded works at others.
