BT talks to three of S'pore's top golfers about their aspirations and the future of the sport here
Lam Chih Bing, 37
GREG Norman was his idol growing up, but currently he is into Phil Mickelson. "He's a really good player, a very exciting player and I think a very nice guy," says Singapore golfer Lam Chih Bing, who turned professional in 2000 when he was 23.
To Lam, his biggest career highlight was in 2008's Volvo Masters of Asia. It was the final event of the season for the Asian Tour where the field was restricted to the top 65 players on the the tour's "order of merit". He was happy to even make the cut, but to eventually win the Volvo Masters of Asia made 2008 his breakthrough year.
