Taxi industry goodies, Part 1
One of the most underrated sources of data can be a listing prospectus. But those documents are often worth a closer look, because that is often the only time that a company will disclose so much about its business.
Trans-cab Holdings, which is hoping to list on Nov 20, does not disappoint. Hidden on page 143 of the prospectus document (page 134 based on printed numbering) is a table that lists the flag-down fares for the different types of taxis run by the top five operators in Singapore. Good stuff!
