[SINGAPORE] The re-employment age in Singapore could be nudged upwards by two years to 67 in an effort to keep older workers employed longer to boost their retirement savings.

Heng Chee How, deputy secretary-general of the National Trades Union Congress (NTUC), said yesterday that the tripartite partners - the government, unions and employers - are working together to raise the re-employment age ceiling to 67.

"With life expectancy continuing to rise, I firmly believe that the re-employment age ceiling need not and cannot stagnate at 65," he said in parliament yesterday.
