IT WAS spun off from a public agency into a private entity, survived the dotcom boom and bust, and then went from offering free web-hosting services for virtual communities to dealing with businesses' security concerns.
Ufinity has come a long way since it was set up in 1996 under a different name.
After going through some shake-ups, the company is now known as an information technology (IT) solutions engineering company which specialises in custom enterprise software and systems integration.
