[SINGAPORE] More American companies are recognising the benefits of investing in South-east Asia and using the Republic as a platform to branch out into the region, said US Ambassador to Singapore Kirk Wagar.
No fewer than 57 organisations from the world's largest economy are involved in the Water Expo, a major trade show of the Singapore International Water Week (SIWW).
Fourteen of them are making their presence felt in this part of the world for the first time and looking to expand their business relationships across Asia. Mr Wagar believes that US businesses can serve as a "force multiplier" for American foreign policy.
