What is Interpol?
INTERPOL is the world's largest international police organisation, with 190 member countries. Its role is to enable police around the world to work together to prevent and fight international crime.
The organisation offers police a high-tech infrastructure of technical and operational support to meet the growing challenges posed by criminals and crimes that increasingly cross borders, both physically and virtually.
Interpol provides targeted training, investigative support, relevant data and secure communications channels, and assists international police cooperation even where diplomatic relations do not exist between particular countries. A command and coordination centre provides 24-hour support to member countries in Interpol's four official languages: Arabic, English, French and Spanish.
