Abbott promotes tough overseer, drops gaffe-prone defence minister


AUSTRALIAN Prime Minister Tony Abbott, battling a slide in public support, reshuffled his Cabinet on Sunday, promoting the overseer of a tough immigration programme and throwing out his gaffe-prone defence minister.
