Architects and construction professionals in demand: Hays
ARCHITECTS and construction professionals will be keenly sought after in Singapore, as construction projects boost demand for their skills.
Architects and planners, project managers and quantity surveyors are most in demand for January to March 2015, said recruitment agency Hays.
"New projects in Singapore, such as the upcoming 1,800 bed hospital in Woodlands and the Terminal 4 building at Changi Airport, are creating demand for Architects and Designers with the relevant project management experience," says Christine Wright, managing director of Hays in Asia.
Ongoing MRT rail and tunnel projects have also created a need for candidates with experience in local or international projects. These include civil engineers with 15 years of relevance, and construction managers who have worked on civil defence and MRT station contracts.
Ms Wright added that there will likely be the traditional post-bonus spike in movement in the construction sector after employees receive their bonus this quarter.
