BUSINESSES can play a more significant role in advocating for reinforced cohesion between Asean members, amid escalating US and China trade tensions which could last for some time, said Trade and Industry Minister Chan Chun Sing on Tuesday.
He also called on business leaders at the Asean Conference to issue a "strong call" to their respective governments to conclude negotiations on the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) early.
