Asean must be bold in developing post-2015 vision: Lim Hng Kiang
ASEAN needs to be bold and ahead of the curve in developing its post-2015 vision, said Minister for Trade and Industry Lim Hng Kiang.
"This will help to enhance Asean's centrality in regional and global architectures," Mr Lim said at the Philippines-Singapore Business Council Forum.
He noted that Singapore and the Philippines are working closely on regional initiatives such as the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) and Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (Apec).
Singapore is the Philippines' fourth largest trading partner globally, and top trading partner in Asean, with trade between the two countries reaching S$15 billion last year, an increase of 2 per cent from 2013.
