AS INDONESIA continues to see a downward trend in the number of new Covid-19 infections, the government is pressing on with its efforts to reopen parts of the economy, with Bali high on its list of priorities.

The popular island resort is gearing up to host the annual Group of 20 (G-20) summit next year, and the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy is planning a "reopening trial" to welcome international visitors, especially business travellers, starting in October.
