MYANMAR’S junta chief Min Aung Hlang met with a special envoy from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean), state media reported on Thursday.
The meeting with Alounkeo Kittikhoun, Special Envoy of the Asean Chair on Myanmar, comes as Laos takes over chairing the regional bloc, which has grown frustrated with Myanmar’s lack of progress on implementing a five-point peace plan agreed between Asean member states. REUTERS
