CAMBODIAN Prime Minister Hun Manet will make an official visit to Singapore on Tuesday (Jun 18), at the invitation of Singapore’s Prime Minister Lawrence Wong.

The two-day visit will see Hun Manet call on President Tharman Shanmugaratnam and PM Wong, said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a statement on Monday evening. PM Wong will host a dinner in the Cambodia leader’s honour.

Hun Manet will also meet Senior Minister Lee Hsien Loong.

During his stay in Singapore, he will attend the Cambodia-Singapore Business Forum on Wednesday, and visit Nanyang Polytechnic and Keppel’s Infrastructure@Changi building. The latter is a solar-powered building that was conferred the highest accolade of Green Mark Platinum Positive Energy by the Building and Construction Authority.

This will be Hun Manet’s first visit to Singapore as his country’s prime minister. The eldest son of long-time ruler Hun Sen took office in August last year.

His earlier visit in June 2019 was made in his capacity as then-deputy commander-in-chief of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces and commander of the Royal Cambodian Army.
