[KUALA LUMPUR] CGS International Futures Malaysia launched the country’s first publicly available Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) cryptocurrency futures contracts, targeting a growing pool of young investors aged 18 to 30, it announced on Thursday (Feb 27).

The move makes CGS Malaysia the first licensed derivatives broker in the country to offer access to Bitcoin and Ethereum futures via CME Group – the world’s largest derivatives exchange.

The new offerings include standard Bitcoin and Ether futures, as well as lower-cost alternatives – Micro Bitcoin and Micro Ether contracts – designed to lower entry barriers. The products are open to all investors, including foreigners in Malaysia.
