ELECTRONIC money (e-money) is eclipsing credit and debit cards in Indonesia, accounting for 84 per cent of all retail electronic transactions in 2019, but the growth potential for fintechs remains huge.
In terms of value though, bank-issued cards - in the form of credit and debit cards - accounted for the lion's share of retail electronic transactions, at 82 per cent as at 2019.
