MOST Singaporeans disposed of plastic products as general waste because of a lack of knowledge of the types of plastics that can be recycled, a new report by the Singapore Environment Council (SEC) has shown.
The Consumer Plastic And Plastic Resource Ecosystem In Singapore report, released on Thursday Aug 30, also showed that four in 10 cited inconvenience as a reason for not recycling.
