Indonesia airline TransNusa to start Jakarta-Johor route, eyes Singapore service

[KUALA LUMPUR] It has been a busy year for Indonesia carrier TransNusa Aviation Mandiri. After launching its first route in April with a direct service from Jakarta to the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur, it will start a second route on Sep 7.
The new route will be from Jakarta to Johor’s Senai Airport. Apart from Malaysia, TransNusa – which was established in 2005 – is also looking to expand to more countries in Asia, including Singapore and China.
TransNusa’s chief executive officer (group aviation) Bernard Francis told reporters at a virtual media briefing on Wednesday (Aug 16) that the company obtained a permit two weeks ago to fly from Jakarta to Singapore.
