Indonesia economy grows 5.05% in Q2, in line with expectations
This marks a slight decline from last year’s 5.17% growth
[JAKARTA] Strong consumption and robust domestic activities have enabled Indonesia’s economy to sustain a growth rate above 5 per cent in the second quarter of this year.
According to data released on Monday (Aug 5) by the country’s statistics bureau, South-east Asia’s largest economy expanded by 5.05 per cent annually in the April-June period. This marks a slight decline from last year’s 5.17 per cent growth.
The growth rate met the 5 per cent expectations set by market analysts polled by Reuters, and aligns with forecasts from government officials.
