Indonesia’s Jan-Aug budget deficit at 0.68% of GDP, finmin says
INDONESIA’S budget deficit for January to August was 153.7 trillion rupiah (S$13.1 billion) or 0.68 per cent of gross domestic product (GDP), the finance minister said on Monday (Sep 23).
Total revenue for the eight months was 1,777 trillion rupiah, down 2.5 per cent year on year, Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati said.
Spending was 1,930.7 trillion rupiah, up 15.3 per cent compared to the same period last year.
The 2024 budget deficit is forecast at 2.7 per cent of GDP, higher than an initial estimate of 2.29 per cent of GDP. REUTERS
