Lured by high standards and lower fees, Chinese students flock to Thailand’s international schools
[BANGKOK] Thailand has long been a favourite outbound destination for many Chinese travellers over the years, drawn by the South-east Asian nation’s abundance of food, quality medical facilities and luxury condos.
Another reason that is luring the wealthy Chinese back to Thailand in this post-pandemic era is the plethora of international schools – not just in the capital Bangkok, but in places like Chiang Mai and Phuket too.
Industry players told The Business Times that while the influx of Chinese students is happening across the region, Thailand has many cards in its favour to attract Chinese citizens looking for high quality, international schools with reasonable tuition fees.
