    [KUALA LUMPUR] Malaysia’s industrial production expanded 2.1 per cent year on year in October, falling short of economists’ expectations, indicated a report by the Department of Statistics Malaysia on Tuesday (Dec 10).

    In a recent Reuters poll, economists anticipated a 2.5 per cent increase in factory output. The final figure is also lower than the previous month’s growth of 2.3 per cent year on year.

    From January to October, Malaysia’s industrial production increased by 3.7 per cent, compared with the modest 0.8 per cent expansion during the same period last year.
