[KUALA LUMPUR] Malaysia’s year-on-year (yoy) inflation grew at 1.5 per cent in December, the same as the previous month, a Department of Statistics Malaysia (DOSM) report indicated on Monday (Jan 22).

The growth is also the lowest since February 2021, and in line with the median forecast of 13 economists polled by Reuters.

Core inflation, meanwhile, moderated to 1.9 per cent in December, from the previous month’s 2 per cent.
