Malaysia's latest MCO curbs face indifference, confusion

THE Malaysian public is questioning the government's competence in its ongoing effort to curb the Covid-19 pandemic as infection numbers continue to climb each day, often breaking new records along the way.
Last Saturday's announcement of tighter standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the country's Movement Control Order (MCO) 3.0 has come up against indifference and some ridicule by the public, with many feeling there is little or even no difference to the earlier restrictions.
