[KUALA LUMPUR] Malaysia’s industrial production index rose 0.3 per cent in May from a year earlier, slower than expected, government data showed on Friday. Factory output in May had been forecast to expand 2 per cent, according to 12 economists surveyed in a Reuters poll.
The pace of growth was the slowest since December 2023, when the index declined 0.1 per cent. REUTERS
