SPOTTED on the tarmac of Kuala Lumpur International Airport recently was a red Airbus A320 plane with grey streaks, bearing the name MYAirline. Photos and videos of the parked aircraft have been widely circulated on social media, with aviation enthusiasts and consumers wondering when this new low-cost carrier will take to the skies.
MYAirline was one of 2 new carriers that received a conditional approval to operate by the Malaysian Aviation Commission last year, with its air service licence valid until the end of 2022. This licence, which can be renewed via a written application 90 days before expiry - enables MYAirline to operate both passenger and cargo services.
