    WHEN economists are asked for their forecast for Thailand's economy these days, they largely base their projections on the expected impact of tourist arrivals due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

    For example, the latest economic predictions by the Kasikorn Research Center (KRC) for Thailand's gross domestic product (GDP) growth in 2022 are in the range of 2.8 per cent to 3.7 per cent.
