Thailand’s Really Cool Airlines set to take flight, wants to be ‘most innovative’ carrier
The long-haul operator is one of four new airlines looking to shake up the crowded aviation sector
[BANGKOK] The newest kid on the block in Thailand’s crowded aviation sector likes to think of itself as cool. To be more precise, it wants to be seen as “really cool”.
Patee Sarasin, the chief executive officer of Really Cool Airlines, has big dreams for his long-haul, full-service carrier, which is on track to take to the skies in the first quarter of 2024.
“My job is not to create the best or the biggest airline, but the most innovative airline in the world,” Patee told The Business Times in a recent interview. “What we see is the (other) airlines coming back to what they were three years ago (before the pandemic) with no changes. We need to change.”
