    THE power tussle for Malaysia's top job intensified on Monday when Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin resigned - along with his entire Cabinet - with immediate effect after it became clear he has lost his majority support in Parliament.

    The months-long political uncertainty does not look likely to end anytime soon, especially in the absence of an obvious successor to fill the hot seat vacated by the embattled 74-year-old leader.
