SUPPORTED by strong economic fundamentals and space to manage fiscal policy as needed, the Asean+3 region is expected to remain resilient over the next two years, with the pace of growth slowing only slightly in 2019 from the previous year.
In its annual flagship report set to launch on Wednesday in Fiji, the Singapore-based Asean+3 Macroeconomic Research Office (AMRO) projected the region's growth to soften from 5.3 per cent last year to 5.1 per cent in 2019 and 5.0 per cent in 2020.
