[TOKYO] Australia's dollar dropped after S&P Global Ratings cut the outlook on the nation's AAA bond rating to negative from stable.
The Aussie weakened as much as 0.7 per cent and was 0.5 per cent lower at 74.84 US cents as of 11:45am in Sydney from Wednesday.
