AS the June 23 decision day draws near for the British people to decide in a national referendum between remaining in or leaving the European Union (EU), Japanese firms are drawing up plans for what to do in the event of a British exit or "Brexit".
Susumu Takahashi, chairman of the Japan Research Institute, said at a briefing in Tokyo that Japanese companies operating in the UK will need to have two strategies - one for Britain and one for continental Europe - if the British vote to quit the EU.
