Budget 2016: S$450m set aside for national robotics programme
The Ministry of Finance will offer S$450 million to support the national robotics programme over the next three years, said Heng Swee Keat, Minister for Finance.
"Robotics technology can enable us to work more effectively in a tight labour market. It can also create more high value-added jobs," said Mr Heng.
Apart from healthcare, robotics and automation technology can be applied widely to transform sectors such as construction, manufacturing, and logistics, he added.
