Bumi Armada bullish on smaller FSUs for liquefied gas

THE head of gas business at Malaysia's Bumi Armada sees the floating production contractor's first success in clinching a gas floater in Malta back in April as "a good example" of demand expansion worldwide for smaller storage and regasification units to receive liquefied natural gas (LNG) imports.
In April, Bumi Armada unveiled its first venture into the gas business through US$300 million worth of announced contracts with ElectroGas Malta for the conversion, supply, operations and maintenance of a floating storage unit (FSU).
