Businesses, markets wait with bated breath for UK-EU compromise deal
If there is no agreement, corporations and other institutions are likely to insist on an adjustment period

BUSINESS leaders, currencies and stock markets are on tenterhooks hoping that the European Union (EU) will accept proposals of British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and somehow forge a Brexit deal.
Mr Johnson will meet two key EU players this week - first, German Chancellor Angela Merkel on Wednesday, followed by French President Emmanuel Macron on Thursday.
