THE Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore and Changi Airport Group (CAG) have recently established a private-public task force to identify and address the critical risks and challenges in the air transportation of the Covid-19 vaccines for the effective delivery of the vaccines into Singapore and the region through Changi Airport.
Lim Ching Kiat, managing director of air hub development at the CAG, told The Business Times that the task force has key air-cargo industry members that include ground handlers, airlines, logistics partners and relevant government agencies.
CAG noted that the distribution of the vaccines is a challenging task, requiring all players in the air cargo industry to build on the capabilities and competencies that have been established.
