Chainsaw attack injures five in Swiss Town of Schaffhausen
[ZURICH] At least five people were injured in an attack by a man armed with a chainsaw in Schaffhausen, Switzerland on Monday. The attacker is still on the run and dangerous, local police said.
While police ruled out terrorism, they currently do not know the perpetrator's motives and background, spokeswoman Cindy Beer said. All five victims are currently hospitalised, with two seriously injured.
Helicopters were dispatched following an emergency call at 10.39am local time.
Police from the neighbouring canton of Thurgau came to assist, 20 Minuten reported.
Authorities advise residents to remain indoors until further notice.
